Glacial fx in Ramsey, NJ

Glacial fx is my cryo-cooling technology — not a standalone facial, but the engine I build into the treatments where it does the most good. Controlled cooling, active ingredients, and lymphatic drainage, combined for real results.

What is Glacial fx?

Glacial fx controlled cooling device used at The Skin Tune

Glacial fx uses controlled cooling to calm inflammation, boost circulation, and deliver active ingredients deeper into the skin. It's the technology behind some of my most effective facials — not a treatment you book on its own, but the reason certain facials work as well as they do.

I use it in two forms, depending on the facial and your skin's needs.

Two forms

Glacial Gloss

Cryotherapy + a gentle 8% peel + lymphatic drainage. The peel resurfaces while the cooling calms — used in facials where I'm clearing congestion or brightening tone.

Built into: Clear, Brighten

Glacial Glide

Cryotherapy + lymphatic drainage only — no peel. Pure cooling and circulation for reactive, sensitive skin that can't tolerate acids.

Built into: Calm

What it does for your skin

  • Calms redness and soothes inflamed, reactive skin
  • De-puffs and moves circulation through lymphatic drainage
  • Boosts absorption of active ingredients
  • Refines texture and brightens overall tone
  • Preps skin to receive the rest of the facial more effectively
  • Safe for sensitive, acne-prone, and rosacea-prone skin

Frequently asked questions

No — it's the cryo-cooling technology I build into my Clear, Brighten, and Calm facials. You don't book Glacial fx separately; you book the facial that uses it. The technology is part of what makes those facials work.

Not at all. Most clients describe it as one of the most relaxing parts of the facial. The cooling is controlled and gentle — refreshing, not shocking.

Yes. The Glacial Glide form (used in the Calm facial) is specifically designed for reactive and sensitive skin — no peel, no acids, just cooling and lymphatic drainage. It's the gentlest option I offer.

Controlled cooling constricts blood vessels to reduce redness and puffiness, then triggers a rebound circulation boost that delivers nutrients and oxygen to the skin. It also helps active ingredients penetrate more effectively and calms inflammation at the source.
